How to get your PWC there, and equipment to take with you...
|
Both sit-down and stand-up PWC are catered for.
The drop off point is Six Hills Jetski centre in Leicester on (date to be announced) and your craft will be loaded via fork-lift truck onto articulated lorries specially adapted allowing them to carry PWC craft.
When dropping off your craft it should have all of its fuel drained, and battery disconnected. We will check your Insurance papers and RYA training certificate/ICC.
Ideally we recommend fitting your PWC with a cover and taking it to a dealer to have the craft checked over and serviced before sending it to Ibiza - what would be worse than to find your craft won't start when you get there!
We recommend you bring an empty 20 litre fuel can, bag anchor, wet-shoes and wet-suit. It is a legal requirement for all riders and passengers to wear buoyancy aids whilst on PWC.
Your craft will be driven to Ibiza, a trip which usually takes in the region of four to five days and will be unloaded, ready for you on Tuesday 2nd.
Whilst in Ibiza your craft will stay on the beach directly behind the hotel. Overnight security is provided to ensure your crafts safety. Jetskis will be stored in a small compound on the beach.
Craft are moved using several beach totes and a quad bike, on the first day, visitors will be given a safety briefing, detailing areas of shallow submerged rocks, sand bars and other underwater obstructions. Visitors will also be briefed regarding local laws. Riders are then invited on a quick tour of the local area. Marshals are on hand to provide advise and help craft that have broken down. Riders should buddy up, carry tow ropes and some form of communication, such as a mobile phone and even a VHF radio.
Fuel is available on the other side of the bay, or a twice daily collection of fuel from a local fuel station. 20 litres will be put in each persons can. Payments for this fuel will be rounded up to the nearest note, the extra covers the cost of running this service - however if you wish, you can collect your own fuel.
Your craft will be loaded onto the lorry on your final day at mid day (7th) allowing you to confirm it has been loaded completely and that nothing has been left behind. Each rider should ensure they have run their fuel down as far as possible.
Collection of craft will take place on (dato to be announced) from Sixhills Jetski centre, Leicester.
